وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَكَانَ أَهْلُ مَكَّةَ قَوْمَ حَسَدٍ . وَلَمْ يَقُلْ يَحْسُدُونَهُ .
This hadith has been narrated on the authority of jurairi with the same chain of transmitters but with a slight variation of words (and this is) that he (the narrator) did not say:" They felt jealous of him. but said: The people of Mecca, were jealous people
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لَهُ أَرَأَيْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ نَعَمْ كَانَ أَبْيَضَ مَلِيحَ الْوَجْهِ . قَالَ مُسْلِمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ مَاتَ أَبُو الطُّفَيْلِ سَنَةَ مِائَةٍ وَكَانَ آخِرَ مَنْ مَاتَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم .
Jurairi reported:I said to Abu Tufail: Did you see Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)? He said: Yes, he had a white handsome face. Muslim b. Hajjaj said: Abu Tufail who died in 100 Hijra was the last of the Companions of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)
