Ayah 1 of An-Naazi'aat 79:1

Arabic Text

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَٱلنَّٰزِعَٰتِ غَرْقًۭا

Transliteration

Wan naazi 'aati gharqa

Translation

By those [angels] who extract with violence

Ayah 2 of An-Naazi'aat 79:2

Arabic Text

وَٱلنَّٰشِطَٰتِ نَشْطًۭا

Transliteration

Wan naa shi taati nashta

Translation

And [by] those who remove with ease

Ayah 3 of An-Naazi'aat 79:3

Arabic Text

وَٱلسَّٰبِحَٰتِ سَبْحًۭا

Transliteration

Wass saabi-haati sabha

Translation

And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming

Ayah 4 of An-Naazi'aat 79:4

Arabic Text

فَٱلسَّٰبِقَٰتِ سَبْقًۭا

Transliteration

Fass saabi qaati sabqa

Translation

And those who race each other in a race

Ayah 5 of An-Naazi'aat 79:5

Arabic Text

فَٱلْمُدَبِّرَٰتِ أَمْرًۭا

Transliteration

Fal mu dab-bi raati amra

Translation

And those who arrange [each] matter,

Ayah 6 of An-Naazi'aat 79:6

Arabic Text

يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ ٱلرَّاجِفَةُ

Transliteration

Yawma tarjufur raajifa

Translation

On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation],

Ayah 7 of An-Naazi'aat 79:7

Arabic Text

تَتْبَعُهَا ٱلرَّادِفَةُ

Transliteration

Tatba'u har raadifa

Translation

There will follow it the subsequent [one].

Ayah 8 of An-Naazi'aat 79:8

Arabic Text

قُلُوبٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ وَاجِفَةٌ

Transliteration

Quloobuny-yau maaiziw-waaji-fa

Translation

Hearts, that Day, will tremble,

Ayah 9 of An-Naazi'aat 79:9

Arabic Text

أَبْصَٰرُهَا خَٰشِعَةٌۭ

Transliteration

Absaa ruhaa khashi'ah

Translation

Their eyes humbled.

Ayah 10 of An-Naazi'aat 79:10

Arabic Text

يَقُولُونَ أَءِنَّا لَمَرْدُودُونَ فِى ٱلْحَافِرَةِ

Transliteration

Ya qoo loona a-inna lamar doo doona fil haafirah

Translation

They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]?

Ayah 11 of An-Naazi'aat 79:11

Arabic Text

أَءِذَا كُنَّا عِظَٰمًۭا نَّخِرَةًۭ

Transliteration

Aizaa kunna 'izaa man-nakhirah

Translation

Even if we should be decayed bones?

Ayah 12 of An-Naazi'aat 79:12

Arabic Text

قَالُوا۟ تِلْكَ إِذًۭا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٌۭ

Transliteration

Qaalu tilka izan karratun khaasirah.

Translation

They say, "That, then, would be a losing return."

Ayah 13 of An-Naazi'aat 79:13

Arabic Text

فَإِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌۭ وَٰحِدَةٌۭ

Transliteration

Fa inna ma hiya zajratuw-waahida

Translation

Indeed, it will be but one shout,

Ayah 14 of An-Naazi'aat 79:14

Arabic Text

فَإِذَا هُم بِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ

Transliteration

Faizaa hum biss saahirah

Translation

And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface.

Ayah 15 of An-Naazi'aat 79:15

Arabic Text

هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰٓ

Transliteration

Hal ataaka hadeethu Musaa

Translation

Has there reached you the story of Moses? -

Ayah 16 of An-Naazi'aat 79:16

Arabic Text

إِذْ نَادَىٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ بِٱلْوَادِ ٱلْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى

Transliteration

Iz nadaahu rabbuhu bil waadil-muqad dasi tuwa

Translation

When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa,

Ayah 17 of An-Naazi'aat 79:17

Arabic Text

ٱذْهَبْ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ

Transliteration

Izhab ilaa fir'auna innahu taghaa.

Translation

"Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed.

Ayah 18 of An-Naazi'aat 79:18

Arabic Text

فَقُلْ هَل لَّكَ إِلَىٰٓ أَن تَزَكَّىٰ

Transliteration

Faqul hal laka ilaa-an tazakka.

Translation

And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself

Ayah 19 of An-Naazi'aat 79:19

Arabic Text

وَأَهْدِيَكَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشَىٰ

Transliteration

Wa ahdi yaka ila rabbika fatakh sha

Translation

And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'"

Ayah 20 of An-Naazi'aat 79:20

Arabic Text

فَأَرَىٰهُ ٱلْءَايَةَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ

Transliteration

Fa araahul-aayatal kubra.

Translation

And he showed him the greatest sign,

Ayah 21 of An-Naazi'aat 79:21

Arabic Text

فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَىٰ

Transliteration

Fa kazzaba wa asaa.

Translation

But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed.

Ayah 22 of An-Naazi'aat 79:22

Arabic Text

ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَسْعَىٰ

Transliteration

Thumma adbara yas'aa.

Translation

Then he turned his back, striving.

Ayah 23 of An-Naazi'aat 79:23

Arabic Text

فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَىٰ

Transliteration

Fa hashara fanada.

Translation

And he gathered [his people] and called out

Ayah 24 of An-Naazi'aat 79:24

Arabic Text

فَقَالَ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ

Transliteration

Faqala ana rabbu kumul-a'laa.

Translation

And said, "I am your most exalted lord."

Ayah 25 of An-Naazi'aat 79:25

Arabic Text

فَأَخَذَهُ ٱللَّهُ نَكَالَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ وَٱلْأُولَىٰٓ

Transliteration

Fa-akha zahul laahu nakalal aakhirati wal-oola.

Translation

So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression].

Ayah 26 of An-Naazi'aat 79:26

Arabic Text

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةًۭ لِّمَن يَخْشَىٰٓ

Transliteration

Inna fee zaalika la'ibratal limaiy-yaksha

Translation

Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah].

Ayah 27 of An-Naazi'aat 79:27

Arabic Text

ءَأَنتُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَمِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ ۚ بَنَىٰهَا

Transliteration

A-antum a shaddu khalqan amis samaa-u banaaha.

Translation

Are you a more difficult creation or is the heaven? Allah constructed it.

Ayah 28 of An-Naazi'aat 79:28

Arabic Text

رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوَّىٰهَا

Transliteration

Raf'a sam kaha fasaw waaha

Translation

He raised its ceiling and proportioned it.

Ayah 29 of An-Naazi'aat 79:29

Arabic Text

وَأَغْطَشَ لَيْلَهَا وَأَخْرَجَ ضُحَىٰهَا

Transliteration

Wa aghtasha lailaha wa akhraja duhaaha.

Translation

And He darkened its night and extracted its brightness.

Ayah 30 of An-Naazi'aat 79:30

Arabic Text

وَٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ دَحَىٰهَآ

Transliteration

Wal arda b'ada zaalika dahaaha.

Translation

And after that He spread the earth.

Ayah 31 of An-Naazi'aat 79:31

Arabic Text

أَخْرَجَ مِنْهَا مَآءَهَا وَمَرْعَىٰهَا

Transliteration

Akhraja minha maa-aha wa mar 'aaha.

Translation

He extracted from it its water and its pasture,

Ayah 32 of An-Naazi'aat 79:32

Arabic Text

وَٱلْجِبَالَ أَرْسَىٰهَا

Transliteration

Wal jibala arsaaha.

Translation

And the mountains He set firmly

Ayah 33 of An-Naazi'aat 79:33

Arabic Text

مَتَٰعًۭا لَّكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَٰمِكُمْ

Transliteration

Mataa'al lakum wali an 'aamikum.

Translation

As provision for you and your grazing livestock.

Ayah 34 of An-Naazi'aat 79:34

Arabic Text

فَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلطَّآمَّةُ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ

Transliteration

Fa-izaa jaaa'atit taaam matul kubraa.

Translation

But when there comes the greatest Overwhelming Calamity -

Ayah 35 of An-Naazi'aat 79:35

Arabic Text

يَوْمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَا سَعَىٰ

Transliteration

Yauma Yata zakkarul insaanu ma sa'aa.

Translation

The Day when man will remember that for which he strove,

Ayah 36 of An-Naazi'aat 79:36

Arabic Text

وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلْجَحِيمُ لِمَن يَرَىٰ

Transliteration

Wa burrizatil-jaheemu limany-yaraa.

Translation

And Hellfire will be exposed for [all] those who see -

Ayah 37 of An-Naazi'aat 79:37

Arabic Text

فَأَمَّا مَن طَغَىٰ

Transliteration

Fa ammaa man taghaa.

Translation

So as for he who transgressed

Ayah 38 of An-Naazi'aat 79:38

Arabic Text

وَءَاثَرَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا

Transliteration

Wa aasaral hayaatad dunyaa

Translation

And preferred the life of the world,

Ayah 39 of An-Naazi'aat 79:39

Arabic Text

فَإِنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ هِىَ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ

Transliteration

Fa innal jaheema hiyal maawaa.

Translation

Then indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refuge.

Ayah 40 of An-Naazi'aat 79:40

Arabic Text

وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ وَنَهَى ٱلنَّفْسَ عَنِ ٱلْهَوَىٰ

Transliteration

Wa ammaa man khaafa maqaama Rabbihee wa nahan nafsa 'anil hawaa

Translation

But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination,

Ayah 41 of An-Naazi'aat 79:41

Arabic Text

فَإِنَّ ٱلْجَنَّةَ هِىَ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ

Transliteration

Fa innal jannata hiyal maawaa

Translation

Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge.

Ayah 42 of An-Naazi'aat 79:42

Arabic Text

يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلسَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَىٰهَا

Transliteration

Yas'aloonaka 'anis saa'ati ayyaana mursaahaa

Translation

They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival?

Ayah 43 of An-Naazi'aat 79:43

Arabic Text

فِيمَ أَنتَ مِن ذِكْرَىٰهَآ

Transliteration

Feema anta min zikraahaa

Translation

In what [position] are you that you should mention it?

Ayah 44 of An-Naazi'aat 79:44

Arabic Text

إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ مُنتَهَىٰهَآ

Transliteration

Ilaa Rabbika muntahaa haa

Translation

To your Lord is its finality.

Ayah 45 of An-Naazi'aat 79:45

Arabic Text

إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰهَا

Transliteration

Innamaaa anta munziru maiy yakshaahaa

Translation

You are only a warner for those who fear it.

Ayah 46 of An-Naazi'aat 79:46

Arabic Text

كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوٓا۟ إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوْ ضُحَىٰهَا

Transliteration

Ka annahum Yawma yarawnahaa lam yalbasooo illaa 'ashiyyatan aw duhaahaa

Translation

It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof.
